The Westin Nova Scotian is located at 1181 Hollis St, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3H 2P6, Canada.
There are no airport shuttles to the hotel. To get from Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) to The Westin Nova Scotian, you have several options: airport taxi, ride-sharing services, rental car, or the Maritime Bus. The most convenient and direct option is typically an airport taxi, which offers a flat rate of $65 for the trip. It is approximately 35 kilometers and a 30 minute trip.
The hotel offers parking for guests arriving by car. On-site parking rates are: Self park at $25/day or Valet parking at $32/day.
It will be a little bit cool as we head into Halifax... with highs up to 0 Celsius and lows of -6 Celsius (that’s a balmy 32 F and 18 F for our south of the border friends). Let’s hope the weather remains good and that no one encounters any airport/weather delays!
Once again all Mainstage sessions will be available for simultaneous translation from English to French (or whatever language you desire) using Wordly. Simply bring along your personal device (phone, tablet, or laptop) plus your headphones and we’ll set you up. We also plan to have a breakout room with this capability as well.

We have so many great breakout sessions to choose from – and how do you choose but only one per time slot? One of the many benefits of having a top-notch AV team at our convention is that we can utilize state-of-the-art technology. We are delighted to announce that we will offer convention session recordings again this year. If you are registered for Convention, you can purchase audio with synchronized slide recordings of all Breakout Sessions. These recordings will be delivered via email approximately two weeks after Convention.

Our Convention Mobile App will again make this process easy as you can select a table at the President's Ball and invite table mates right from the App. CAPS does not need to get your table requests this year - just pick a table and invite others, or use the app to accept a table invitation from another attendee.
We know this event is always a popular one, and last year proved that beyond any question. Our Programming Committee has worked very hard to bring you some exceptional experts on intriguing topics. Our MTE Chairperson Merge Gupta-Sunderji will host these 20-minute round-table conversations. You will have the opportunity to register for 3 sessions and sit with your expert to help you get the answers you are looking for on their topic offering. Look in your email inbox shortly before convention for the links to choose your experts. This is a first-come, first-served link, so pick early to get the sessions you want.
