Keynote Speaker – Matthys Levy

Matthys Levy is the author of multiple publications as well as co-author of "Why Buildings Fall; Structural Design in Architecture".

He is a lecturer on structures, building failures, and the consequences of climate change in the built environment. In addition, he has served as a forensic engineer for the collapse of the World Trade Towers and various other cases.

As the founder of WAI Consulting Engineers, Levy has served as a structural design engineer for hundreds of building and bridge projects worldwide. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineers and holds patents on Triangulated Roof Structures.

 He was born in Switzerland and holds degrees from the City College of New York and Columbia University. He served in the US Army Corps of Engineers in Korea.
