NSCC  Akerley Campus Sobeys Culinary Centre is a state of the art facility, equipped with the tools and resources to help students practice hands-on learning and prepare for a bright future in Nova Scotia's culinary and hospitality industries. Fresh Café and Fresh Twenty One, the student-led fine-dining restaurant classroom, offer students the opportunity to develop professional skills in a collaborative, practical learning environment - all while providing the local community with a unique dining experience. 

NSCC offers multiple innovative programs that lead to careers in the tourism and culinary industries. With a growing need for skilled workers with culinary, nutrition and operational business training to meet the needs of large-volume food service operations in institutional settings, NSCC has created a virtual Food Service and Nutrition Management Program, making it the only program of its kind in Atlantic Canada.

Innovative products are being created in consideration of the unique nutrition requirements, as well as operational and service needs within industrial food production kitchens of the senior living and healthcare market. Guided by fresh thinking and superior service, Scarlett House Food Group is redefining healthcare food options and setting a new benchmark for the future. Join us for a tour of our Atlantic Division production facility where you will catch a glimpse of our behind-the-scenes operation, as well as taste some new products along the way!

Feed Nova Scotia (Warehouse tour), Dartmouth, NS

Join us for a tour of the Food Nova Scotia warehouse in Dartmouth, NS to learn more about our behind-the-scenes operations! Feed Nova Scotia collects and distributes approximately three million kilograms of food annually to 140 member food banks, meal programs, and shelters across the province. While responding to the immediate need for dignified, secure, and just access to food, we're also raising awareness of the root causes of food insecurity. We are working to find long-term, sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty that will allow everyone to live a life of dignity and leave no one relying on charitable band-aids to address human rights.
