Ndinawe Youth Resource Centre — formally Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad Inc. (Ndinawe) — is an Indigenous-led, non-profit community organization in Winnipeg dedicated to supporting urban Indigenous youth young people aged roughly 11–24. It has operated since 1993, offering a safe, welcoming place where youth in crisis can connect with services, supports, and community.

Services:

  • Tina’s Safe Haven: A 24/7 drop-in centre where youth can access basic needs — meals, showers, laundry, phones, computers — plus activities, supports, and referrals.
  • Safe House: A 16-bed facility offering shelter, safety, and necessities for youth who are living on the streets or at risk of harm, including culturally appropriate counseling and supports.
  • Transitional & Residential Programs: Housing options and supportive living environments for youth transitioning to independence, including second-stage homes.
  • Education & Skills Building: Programs such as a Child & Youth Care Certificate and recreational-oriented activities that build confidence and life skills.
